One Mrs Eunice, a very frantic housewife who lives in Akwukwu-Igbo community area near Asaba in Delta State, has allegedly stolen a baby and sold it for N250,000.00, the baby is said to be two years old, and the child was Mrs Eunice neighbour’s.
It was garnered that the over trusting neighbour of Mrs Eunice had pleaded with her on Wed. 14th Jan, to help look after the baby as she ran off to market in the neighbouring community.
Instead of Mrs Eunice to look after the baby as asked by the mother, she decided to place a call to her friend(Who is now no where to be found) to come pay N 250.000.00 for the child, this her friend was said to have been married for 18years without a child. Unfortunately before they could carry out the dasterd act, the officer's from the state CID Asaba caught Mr's Eunice, according to DSP Kalu, the police acted on a tip off and relying on neighbours who sighted the woman while the deal lasted, swung into action and arrested the woman in Ore Community where she was lodged in hotel. she is now in police custody.
